Cover Honduras With Jesus’ Love

Two specialty drinks at a coffeehouse. One movie ticket. Two meals at a fast food restaurant. Ten songs on itunes. What is the lasting benefit of any of these things?

Winter in Honduras is surprisingly cold. The winds blow and the temperatures drop at night.  To stay warm, the people wear knit caps, sweatshirts and many layers of clothing to sleep. The people in Mogote, served by our global mission partners at Hope for Honduras, are in need of blankets to keep them warm on those cool nights.

What can you do to help?

For just $10 you can provide a special gift to warm the hearts of a family in Honduras this Christmas.
Here’s all you need to do:
  • Select a 4”x6” photo of your family.
  • Write your family name(s) and a short prayer or scripture on the back of the photo.
  • Write a check for $10 made out to Faithbridge. (Note: “Honduras Blanket” in memo line)
  • Enclose photo and money in a plastic sandwich bag or large envelope.
  • Return to Bridging Center (or your child’s classroom) by Sunday, October 16.
  • Children in the Kingdom Club are also helping with this project.
Blankets will be purchased by our friends at Hope for Honduras. Your photo will be laminated and pinned to the blanket. It will be delivered to a special family before Christmas.

The people there will be so grateful, they will hang the photo on the wall of their home and know there are “real people” at Faithbridge who care about them and want to help them.  This will be a lasting tangible reminder to them of God’s love and provision.

“You have been a refuge for the poor,
a refuge for the needy in his distress,
a shelter from the storm,
and a shade from the heat.”
